Major Dilema!
dont worry your ps3 will get something similar to the ring of death.
Ps3 claims to be better because of the 360 rrod. But like I said my old ps3 while gaming on it for a long time over heated and all the graphics were fucked. Thought it was just mine but turns out it was a common problem just like the ring of death lol

Yes, yes. RRoD;s are a pain in the ass. But MS did the right thing and offered a 3 year warranty on RRoD related issues. This manages to be one of the problems and one of the improvements that I was referring to before.
End, just because your PS3 overheated, doesn't mean they have the same failure rate as the 360. Microsoft definitely dropped the ball when they designed the 360 originally. But this was one way that they managed to deliver a cheaper product way before Sony did.
I loved the PS2 and was not a big fan of the original Xbox, but I find the 360 much more appealing. The only advantage I see to the PS3 at this point is the better video codec support. But even that is only marginally better.

Can't do that anymore. Not many companies have updates that remove features....
