Sucks for his family.
No offense though, he wasn't the best person in the world.
Go ahead and bash me for this but look at his list of accomplishments:
Dec 2005 - Pulled over for speeding, arrested for possession of marijuana, driving without a license or insurance. Plead guilty to avoid jail.
Jan 2006 - Arrested on firearm charges including concealment and aggravated assault with a firearm. Plead guilty to avoid jail time.
Apr 2006 - Allowed 3 underage girls (18, 16, and 15) to drink alcohol in his hotel room. Later was sentenced to 90 days in jail (all but 2 suspended) for violating city ordinance laws.
June - Pulled over for suspected drunk driving. Blew a .092 (.012 over).
October - Suspended for 2 games by nfl for violating personal conduct and substance abuse policies.
The following April, Henry was suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 NFL season for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Henry allegedly assaulted a valet attendant at Newport on the Levee in Newport, Kentucky on November 6, 2007. He was arrested for a second time in Orlando on December 3 for violating his probation he was on from a January 30, 2006 arrest. On February 21, 2008, he was found not guilty.
On March 31, 2008, Henry was alleged to have punched a man named Gregory Meyer, 18, and thrown a beer bottle through the window of his car. Henry claimed it was a case of mistaken identity and also that he thought it was somebody else that owed him money. Henry was waived by the Bengals a day after this arrest and was then forced to serve a house arrest sentence.
So like I said, sucks for the family but oh well for everyone else.

That is the problem Talon that is all your looking at. Yes he wasn't the best person in the world nobody is. It just sad that when he started to change his ways and was (how Chad Ochocinco said it) "on the right path." Its sad that his life ended in the tragic way.

Started to change his ways?? Those things happened last year! And everyone always says that someone was "changing their ways" AFTER they die. No one is ever going to say "yeah he was still an assclown"

he was changing his ways He started to participate in NFL childrens funds and other related events. Yes he only started this year but he was trying to change his life around. I mean think about it jail time or making millions of dollars which would you choose.Common sense why he would want to change. Noone really sees what NFL players give back to he community.

What I am trying to say is him doing those charity events or him continuing in the NFL is how he changed to the right path. I mean come on Dude been to jail like 5 or 6 times he could have been like PACMAN jones and keep doing stupid shit fail and get kicked out of the NFL. Henry did the opposite and changed paths to stay away from trouble. Give him credit he deserves it. RIP

He didn't go to jail 5 or 6 times. He always plead and paid his way out of it. Any normal (ie not famous/playing pro sports) would have been in jail many times over for the things he did. And there is no way of saying weather or not he really changed his ways. Based on the fact he was in the back of a truck having a domestic dispute with someone doesn't really say much.THEEND wrote:both.
